Fertilization & Weed Control

A Stronger Lawn Every Season

Thicker turf, fewer weeds, and a yard that improves year after year.

The Program

Six steps to a lawn that takes care of itself

Your fertilization program is timed to the growing seasons of the Newburgh, Evansville, and greater Tri-State region. Each application builds on the last so your turf gets exactly what it needs at every stage of the year.

1

Early Spring Pre-Emergent

February - March

A pre-emergent barrier stops crabgrass and summer annuals before they ever break the surface.

2

Late Spring Feeding

April - May

Balanced fertilizer fuels rapid spring growth so your lawn thickens up and fills in bare spots.

3

Summer Stress Treatment

June - July

A lighter application keeps your lawn nourished without pushing excessive growth during the hottest months.

4

Fall Strengthening

September - October

Phosphorus-balanced feeding encourages deep root growth and helps your turf recover from summer stress.

5

Winterizer Application

November

Slow-release nutrients stored over winter fuel an early spring green-up before your neighbors even start thinking about their yards.

6

Spot Weed Treatments

As Needed

Broadleaf weeds, clover, and dandelions get targeted treatments between scheduled visits whenever they appear.

Beyond Fertilization

Everything your turf needs to thrive

Fertilization is the foundation. These complementary services address the structural and biological factors that determine whether your lawn truly flourishes or just gets by.

Core Aeration

Pulls small plugs from compacted turf so roots breathe, water penetrates deeper, and fertilizer reaches the root zone. Best performed in early fall.

Overseeding

Introduces improved grass varieties into thin areas to increase density and crowd out weeds. Paired with core aeration, seed-to-soil contact improves dramatically.

Soil Testing

Reveals pH levels, nutrient deficiencies, and organic matter content so every application is based on data, not guesswork.

Grub & Pest Management

Preventive applications in early summer stop grub damage before it starts. Surface pests like armyworms get targeted treatments as needed.

Results You See

The proof shows every season

Thicker turf that crowds out weeds

Dense, healthy turf leaves no room for weeds to establish. Consistent nutrition is what builds that thick carpet.

Deeper roots that survive drought

Proper fertilization pushes roots deeper into the soil profile, reaching moisture that surface-level roots miss. Your lawn stays greener through the toughest weeks of summer.

A lawn that gets stronger each season

Every round builds on the last. Thicker density, fewer weeds, and stronger roots compound over time.

Common questions

Your fertilization questions answered

Is the fertilizer safe for pets and children?

Yes. Products are safe for residential use. Keep pets and children off treated areas until watered in or dried, typically a few hours.

How long before I can walk on the lawn after treatment?

Granular applications are safe once watered in. Liquid weed control needs 2 to 4 hours to dry.

Do you offer organic fertilization options?

We can incorporate organic and bio-based products based on your preferences and soil needs. They work especially well paired with core aeration.

When is the best time to start a fertilization program?

Late winter or early spring is ideal in southern Indiana, but you can start anytime. Your crew adjusts the program to your lawn's current needs.

What if I already have a weed problem?

Existing weeds get targeted post-emergent treatments between scheduled visits. The goal is eliminating current weeds while building density to prevent future ones.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Newburgh, Evansville, Boonville, Chandler, and the greater Tri-State area.
