Common questions

Irrigation service questions answered

Do you service irrigation systems Colonial didn't install?

Yes. We service residential irrigation systems throughout the Tri-State area regardless of who originally installed them. Our technicians work on every major brand of controller, valve, and head.

What is backflow testing and why is it required?

Backflow testing verifies that the device protecting your home's drinking water from irrigation water is working correctly. Most water districts in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky require this test annually. Our certified tester performs the test and files the results with your water department on your behalf.

When should my system be winterized?

Before the first hard freeze, which in the Tri-State area typically falls between mid-October and mid-November. We blow out every line with compressed air so no water is left to freeze and crack pipes, valves, or your backflow assembly.

Are repairs included in the service prices?

No. The prices listed cover the scheduled service itself. If we find a broken head, leak, valve issue, or controller problem during a visit, we flag it and quote the repair before doing any additional work. You decide whether to proceed.

Do you require prepayment for the season?

No. We bill as each service is completed, so you never pay for work that hasn't happened yet.

What if I have a large system or a pump system?

Pricing on this page is for standard residential systems. Large systems, commercial systems, and pump-fed systems are quoted individually. Send us a message or call (812) 853-6622 and we'll provide a custom quote.

How do I enroll for the year?

Send us a message or call (812) 853-6622 and tell us which services you want. We'll schedule them throughout the year and bill you as each is completed.
